12 Days Of Fire Safety

We hope this time next year everyone who lives in a flat in Greater Manchester will feel safe in their home.

The Greater Manchester High Rise Task Force – set-up by Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham following the fire at Grenfell Tower, and led by Salford City Mayor Paul Dennett – aims to provide fire safety reassurance as quickly as possible.

Throughout this year we have worked closely with residents, housing providers and managing agents to address fire safety concerns, and we will continue to do this.

But in the meantime, this video by the High Rise Task Force and the Manchester Cladiators (link opens in new tab) shows how you can keep yourself and your home safe this Christmas and New Year.

And below are 12 tips for preventing fire and looking after yourself this festive season.
