Refurbishments well underway at GMFRS' Training and Safety Centre

GREATER Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) has shared a short video update giving an overview of refurbishments and developments underway at its Training and Safety centre in Bury.

GMFRS’ Area Manager Val Hussain, Head of Training for GMFRS, updates on the three areas of work taking place at the centre, which are set to be complete throughout 2022.

Once complete, the Incident Command and Leadership Development Academy on site in Wellington Street will provide a fully immersive experience in operational and incident command training and assessment.

The £5million investment at the centre forms part of GMFRS' Estates Improvements Programme to make the Service fit for the future, while supporting Greater Manchester’s ambition to become carbon neutral by 2038.
