Cote Lane moorland fire - April 22 2019

Called at 7.05pm yesterday evening (April, 22) to a moorland fire on Cote Lane, Delph, Oldham. 

Crews from Mossley, Philips Park, Littleborough, Gorton, Manchester Central, Atherton, Chadderton, Blackley, Withington and other specialist vehicles attended the fire on the moors.

Firefighters are currently using covering jets to prevent the fire from spreading.

Local residents are being advised to keep away from the area and keep windows and doors shut.

The fire is approximately 200m, firefighters are using beaters and other specialist equipment to tackle to blaze.

One fire engine is in attendance at this incident with firefighters 'damping down' and using beaters to put out remaining spots of fire.
