Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service attended 40 incidents between 5:30pm on Tuesday, February 13 and 8am Wednesday, February 14.
AT 5.29pm two pumps from Bolton Central and Atherton and a Rescue Unit from Leigh were called to an RTC on Manchester Road, Westhoughton.
One casualty was rescued from a vehicle by fire fighters using cutting gear.
The casualty was dealt with by the ambulance service.
Firefighters made the vehicle safe and remained in attendance for thirty five minutes.
House Fire- Manchester
AT 7.00pm two pumps from Manchester Central and one pump from Broughton were called to a house fire on Elmfield Street, Manchester.
Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire.
Two causalities were taken to hospital by ambulance after suffering the effects of smoke inhalation.
Crews were in attendance for one hour.
