Retained Firefighter Payments

Retained firefighters receive payment for the work they undertake. Once you become a retained firefighter, you will receive an annual retaining fee which is paid based upon the number of hours you commit to each week.

In addition to this, your salary will be supplemented with extra payments which include an hourly rate for attending incidents, drill nights and community safety events.
