More about Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service is one of the largest fire and rescue services outside London. That means more than 2,500 people working across 41 fire stations and other locations. All doing their bit to make Greater Manchester a better, safer place.

Together, we're responsible for some 500 square miles of the UK and a culturally diverse population of 2.5 million people.

From traditional mill towns, to sprawling inner city areas, we look after Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan.
