Give us a hand in your community and you could make a noticeable, positive impact in your area. There are 8 different ways you can volunteer, from Cycle Patrols and Post-Incident Team, to Caged Football and Cadet Instructing.
Our volunteers are made up of people from all sorts of backgrounds. And many go on to find a career with us. So if you'd like to give something back, give us a hand.
Greater
Manchester Fire and Rescue Service is the largest Fire and Rescue
Service outside London. That means more than 2,500 people working
across 41 fire stations. All doing their bit to make Greater
Manchester a better, safer place.
Together, we're responsible for some 500 square miles of the UK and a culturally diverse population of 2.5 million people.
From traditional mill towns, to sprawling inner city areas, we look after Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan. No surprise we're always looking for more helping hands.
Our vision is to make Greater Manchester a safer place by being a modern, community focused and influential Fire and Rescue Service. And we're passionate about achieving this through being honest, respectful, inclusive, excellent and professional in everything we do.
