Vehicle fire – Manchester
AT 2.55am on Monday, January 8, three fire engines from Manchester Central and Philips Park responded to a fire in Hazelbottom Road, Manchester.
When crews arrived they found the fire involved eight vehicles within a compound, with five of them well alight. To put the fire out crews used four breathing apparatus and two hose reels. Once the fire was safely under control they used a thermal imagining camera to check for further hot spots.
The cause of the fire was thought to have been deliberate.
Firefighters remained at the incident for one hour and 50 minutes.
