Overnight incidents - Wednesday, March 15, and Thursday, March 16

Between 5.30pm on Wednesday, March 15, and 8.30am on Thursday, March 16, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service received 108 calls and attended 58 incidents.

Here are details of some incidents firefighters attended:

 

Flat fire – Worsley

AT 6.45pm on Wednesday, March 15, three crews from Bolton, Agecroft and Farnworth were called to a fire in a flat in Reservoir Gardens, Worsley.

On arrival firefighters found a fire in the kitchen of the flat and used breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a fan to extinguish the fire and clear smoke.

Firefighters were at the scene for approximately an hour.

 

Flat fire – Sale

Three crews from Stretford, Sale and Altrincham were called to a fire in a flat on Stamford Place, Sale, at 7.20pm on Wednesday, March 15.

Crews were told there may be people still in the flat so searched using two breathing apparatus, but found no-one was inside. Crews used a hose reel and a fan to extinguish the fire and clear smoke.

Firefighters were at the scene for approximately 40 minutes.
