BETWEEN 5.30pm on Thursday, June 8, and 8.30am on Friday, June 9, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue service were called to 37 incidents.

Road traffic collision - Oldham

At 8.01pm two crews from Oldham and the Technical Response Unit and Major Response Unit from Ashton attended a road traffic collision on Rochdale Road, Oldham.

When firefighters arrived, they found three vehicles involved in the collision with one person still trapped. Firefighters rescued the casualty from the vehicle before ambulance crews took them to hospital.  A further three casualties were assessed at the scene by paramedics. We were at the scene for 40 minutes.

 

Road traffic collision - Manchester

At 8.07pm two crews from Moss Side and Withington and the Technical Response Unit and Major Response Units from Leigh attended a road traffic collision on Booth Street West, Manchester.

On arrival they found that a car had collided with a lamppost. Firefighters used cutting equipment to get one person free from the car before they were then taken to hospital by ambulance crews. We were on the scene for 40 minutes.

 

Road traffic collision - Manchester

At 11.47pm two crews from Manchester Central along with the Technical Response Unit and Major Rescue Unit from Ashton attended a road traffic collision on Hunts Bank Approach, Manchester.

The collision involved two vehicles, with two people trapped. Firefighters used cutting gear to free the casualties. We were on the scene for approximately one hour.
