A WOMAN'S been rescued by firefighters after becoming impaled on the railings of a park in Hyde.
A crew from Hyde were called to the site on Old Road in the Newton area at 7.08pm last night.
It's believed the woman had been climbing over the railings when she she slipped and became impaled by her upper leg.
Crews began to use hydraulic cutting equipment to free the woman but on advice from the NHS HART team, firefighters were able to lift the woman off the railing.
The 28 year old was taken to Tameside General Hospital by ambulance.
