Incidents – Sunday, September 24
Commercial garage fire - Stockport
AT 2.59pm on September 24, three fire engines from Gorton and Ashton were mobilised to a fire involving a quantity of furniture in the ground floor of a commercial garage in Gorton Road, North Reddish.
Firefighters tackled the fire with two hose reels and used a thermal imaging camera to check for fire spread.
The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate. Firefighters were in attendance for around two hours and 20 minutes.
Garden centre fire – Bolton
AT 6.55pm on September 24, three fire engines from Bolton Central and Bolton North attended a fire within a garden centre in Radcliffe Moor Road, Radcliffe.
Firefighters used one hose reel and one ultra-high pressure lance to tackle the fire.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental. Firefighters were at the scene for two and a half hours.
Vehicle fire – M62 Junction 21, Milnrow
AT 8.36pm on September 24, four fire engines from Heywood, Rochdale and Chadderton were mobilised to a fire involving a mobile crane on the M62 westbound carriageway between J21 Milnrow and J20 Rochdale.
