House fire - Manchester
At 13:44 May 22, three fire engines from Altrincham, Moss Side and Withington fire stations were mobilised to a domestic property on Godbert Avenue, Manchester. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus sets used one hose reel to tackle a fire involving solar panels on the roof of a mid-terraced property. Firefighters also used a positive pressure ventilation fan to ventilate the property and a thermal scanner at the incident. We were in attendance for approximately two hours.
Car crash - Heywood
At 14:33 on May 22, two fire engines from Heywood and a Technical Response Unit from Leigh attended a report of a road traffic collision with persons trapped on Bury New Road, Heywood. This was a road traffic collision involving four vehicles with one person trapped. One casualty was extricated by fire service and ambulance personnel, placed onto a long board and transported along with another casualty to hospital by ambulance. Fire crews used step chocks and hearth kit to make one vehicle safe and extricate one casualty. We were in attendance for approximately forty minutes.
House fire - Eccles
At 16:21 on May 22, three fire engines from Agecroft and Eccles fire stations were mobilised to a domestic property on Half Edge Lane, Eccles. Firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish a fire involving the external cavity wall of a ground floor extension in a semi detached property. Firefighters also used one positive pressure ventilation fan, one hearth kit, one saw and one thermal imaging camera at the incident. We remained in attendance for approximately one hour.
