Two in hospital following RTC

TWO elderly people were taken to hospital following a Road Traffic Collision in Sale.

An 86-year-old woman had to be cut free from a vehicle and an 88-year-old man was given oxygen after two cars collided at the junction of Cross Street and Glebelands Street.

Firefighters were called to the scene at around 2.50pm and were in attendance for over an hour.

Both casualties were taken to Trafford General Hospital.
