At 11.26am fire engines from Moss Side, Withington and Wythenshawe attended a fire involving a microwave in Wilmslow Road in Manchester. Crew wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke. Firefighters were in attendance for 30 minutes. The cause of the fire was accidental.
At 1.52pm fire engines from Manchester Central, Blackley and Phillips Park attended a fire in Middlesex Road in Manchester. On arrival the fire was found to be under the floor boards of a bathroom and bedroom of a property. Firefighters used one hose reel and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire and were on the scene for 50 minutes.
At 3.42pm fire engines from Sale, Altrincham and Wythenshawe attended fire in Thornley Lane in Timperley. The fire, in a domestic property involved cooking which had been left unattended. Crews wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for 30 minutes. The cause of the fire was accidental.
