Chip pan fire – Salford – April 19, 2017
AT 11.56am on April 19, three fire engines from Farnworth and Bolton Central were mobilised to a kitchen fire at a house in Moorland Drive, Little Hulton. On arrival crews discovered a fire involving a chip pan in the kitchen of the property.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire using two hose reels before clearing smoke from the house with a positive pressure fan.
The cause of the fire was accidental when the occupant became distracted while cooking. Crews wish to remind people to take care when cooking and always stand by your pan.
Crews were in attendance for around one hour.
