Woman freed after RTC in Leigh

A WOMAN was cut free from a car by firefighters following a collision in Leigh.

The 35-year-old was involved in a collision in Westleigh Lane just before 7pm on Sunday, January 15.

Firefighters from Leigh Fire Station were called to the scene where they discovered the car had crashed into a fence.

The woman was cut from the car and treated at the scene by the fire service.

She was taken to Wigan Infirmary by paramedics suffering from suspected leg and pelvis injuries.
