FIREFIGHTERS dealt with 10 kitchen fires around Greater Manchester over the weekend.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service is reminding people of the importance of safety in the kitchen in the wake of the fires.
Some useful tips include: do not take attention off cooking and try to avoid cooking after drinking alcohol.

INCIDENTS
A cooker and cupboard in the kitchen of a house was ablaze, firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish it and a fan to clear the smoke.
A 69-year-old man was suffering slightly from the effects of smoke but did not want to go to hospital.
Firefighters found a chip pan was on fire in a flat on the first floor.
Two men and a woman were suffering from the effects of smoke and treated by paramedics at the scene.
