The Fire Gateway contains a wide-range of fire-related advice and offers readers the chance to book a home fire risk assessment in their area. It also has links to local Fire and Rescue Service websites, as well as useful information for businesses. The website is funded by Communities and Local Government and developed with the involvement of English Fire and Rescue Services.

An excellent website with fire safety information for all ages. The kids section offers children the chance to play interactive games whilst learning about fire safety and there are also sections which contain information for teachers, parents and those caring for someone with a disability. Plus, fire safety leaflets are available to download in a variety of different languages.

This is the website of The Greater Manchester Resilience Forum. The forum is made up of the emergency services, councils and other agencies in Greater Manchester who would have to respond in the event of a major incident. The forum ensures that the response by different agencies will be well rehearsed and inline with contingency plans.

FiReControl - www.firecontrol.odpm.gov.uk
There are are 46 Control Rooms in England, including one at Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service's headquarters. FiReControl is a national Government project being delivered regionally to create nine new regional Control Centres replacing the exisiting system.
