Fire safety officers help keep local businesses safe from fire as customers welcomed back

AHEAD of the indoor hospitality sector re-opening today (May 17, 2021), in line with the Government’s roadmap, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) has been engaging with local businesses to help keep them safe from fire.

Last week GMFRS’ (from May 10 to May 14, 2021) dedicated fire safety teams visited bars and pubs across the 10 boroughs in Greater Manchester, offering fire safety advice as venues welcome back customers.

Businesses to receive a visit from GMFRS’ fire safety officers included Manchester’s Fierce Bar and Flight Club, and Gorge restaurant and bar in Prestwich, Bury.

Business owners and managers in Greater Manchester are asked to take a look on GMFRS’ website for business fire safety advice, which includes a new guide for the hospitality sector.
