With many and varied exhibits and special upcoming events, take a fascinating glimpse into the history of firefighting at the Official Museum of Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.
Greater Manchester has played a significant role in the history and development of fire engines and firefighting, which the museum based at Rochdale Fire Station, portrays through its collection.
There are also monthly open days held at the museum with special themes that are held on the first Sunday of each month at the museum.

Please note the Museum will be open on all the other monthly Sundays throughout 2008 and on each Friday.

- Every Friday (except bank holidays) - 10am - 4pm
- The first Sunday of every month - 10am - 4pm
If you wish to visit the museum on a different day, please contact us to arrange an appointment. We are happy to accommodate group visits but recommend no more than 30 people per group.
Admission is free.
