Firefighters carrying out road traffic collision training

The Fire Service in Wigan has launched a hard hitting new radio advert to highlight road safety. 

Wigan Fire Officers are very aware of the consequences for vehicle users and pedestrians following the misuse of alcohol, mobile telephones and forgetting to wear a seatbelt when driving. They have formed a partnership with Wigan and St. Helens Road Safety Forum to produce a hard hitting radio advert highlighting road safety. The advert is currently running on local radio station WISH FM.
