Local Strategic Partnership - www.pridepartnership.co.uk
Recently the Rochdale Borough Commander has secured a place on the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) and continues to make significant contributions in making the Rochdale Borough a place where everyone is safe. The role also demands the Borough Commander to identify and reduce the risk from fire and other incidents, which affect all the people who live in, work in or visit the area.

One key contribution is a performance related stretch target which allows key partner agencies to assist and contribute in reducing accidental dwelling fires in the Rochdale Borough, this has included attracting funding for the ‘Firestop’ initiative which involves the Home Improvement Agency carrying out around 11,610 Home Fire Risk Assessments over a three year period of the Local Area Agreement.

Rochdale Partnership Business Group
All four members of the Rochdale Borough Management Team attend the Rochdale Partnership Business Group meetings and contribute significantly to the ‘Weeks of Action’ which are carried out every six weeks within the Borough and target areas of concern from information supplied by all the partner agencies.

Community cohesion groups
The two Station Commanders attached to the Rochdale Borough attend a range of community cohesion groups and fully inform, educate and influence activity throughout the four townships. These groups include the four Township committees, the Area Partnership forums, Youth Engagement Groups and Drug and Alcohol Team meetings.
