In June 2007, a new campaign was launched to bring to the public's attention the dangers of being careless with cigarettes in the home.
Between April 1st 2006 and March 31st 2007, 19 people died as result of accidental fires in their home showing that accidental fires are still tragically taking lives. Nearly half the incidents in which people died were caused by carelessly discarded smoking materials, also a further 132 people were injured in other fires with the same cause.

out'
In an attempt to reduce this, a three week campaign launched
targeting smokers. A series of large scale posters featured on
billboards across the county. The posters depict a fruit machine
and carry the stark message 'Don't gamble with your life - put it
out, right out'. The posters were also supported by a
radio advert which ran on a number of local stations.
