Practical criminal investigation and interviewing skills

The Association of Greater Manchester Authorities (AGMA) Public Partnership has organised this course to address the needs of those public protection agencies with a legislative enforcement role.

The course covers the initial elements of a criminal investigation undertaken by the local authority, and the requirements of PACE - the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act, the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act and other related investigation and prosecution matters.

Who should attend?
Local Authority and fire service investigating officers e.g. housing benefit fraud investigators, environmental health practitioners, local authority lawyers, housing services officers, including those dealing with anti-social behaviour, health and safety investigators, licensing officers, trading standards officers, internal auditors... in fact anyone who may ever be involved in a criminal investigation.

How long does the course last?
This is a three day course. Registration is from 9:45am. The course starts at 10am and ends at approximately 4pm. Refreshments and lunch are provided.
