Fire team training
Who should attend?
Employees who may be part of a first response fire team.
What are the aims of the course?
- To train and certify to a validated standard of competence for a works or office fire Team/firefighter.
- To recognise the need for prompt and supervised evacuation in an emergency.
- To identify fires which may be dealt with by extinguishers and their safe use.
- To give delegates the knowledge and ability to set up and use fire hydrants safely, with the correct branch techniques being used, hose running, and use under pressure.
- To communicate clearly with other fire team members with standard hand signals.
A fire team handbook will be provided and a certificate awarded to each successful delegate at the end of the course.

- Extinguisher theory and practical extinguisher session
- Practical hose running
- Fire fighting techniques
- De-brief and free-forum.
How long does the course last?
This is a one day course. Registration is from 8:30am. The course starts at 9am and ends at approximately 4pm.
How much does it cost?
£195 per person (+VAT) (minimum six, maximum 12 people).
Where is it held?
Courses are run at our Training Centre and includes morning tea/coffee and toast, lunch and afternoon tea/coffee.
