Fire awareness
Who should attend?
Groups of employees who have responsibility for evacuation but do not require the level of training given to Fire Marshals. Ideally suited to premises with large numbers of employees where there are also Fire Marshals or buildings open to the public.
What are the aims of the course?
This course is designed to give participants an understanding of the nature of fire and the need for an organised and speedy evacuation of premises.
What is covered on the course?
This course includes a practical extinguisher demonstration and covers the following topics:
- Fire science
- Reality of fire
- Fire drills and procedures
- Human behaviour
- Routine duties.
One certificate is issued for the organisation with individual names of people trained on the day. The certificate is valid for one year.
How long does the course last?
The course lasts approximately 3 hours.
How much does it cost?
Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce members £490 plus VAT
Non-members £545 plus VAT
Where is it held?
The course can be held at our Training Centre or at your company premises, if suitable. If your premises are outside the Greater Manchester area there will be an additional charge to cover travelling and subsistence for the trainers.
