This course is designed to meet the needs of the customer. The information below is a typical one day course. However, the length of the course will be dependent on the level of training required for your workplace.

Drivers and escorts who have responsibility for evacuation of vehicles.
What are the aims of the course?
This course is designed to give participants an understanding of the nature of fire and the need for an organised and speedy evacuation of vehicles.

- Reality of smoke and speed of spread
- Outside vehicle checks
- Inside vehicle checks
- Loading
- Main causes of fire in vehicles
- Fire prevention
- Calling the Fire Service
- Evacuation of vehicle
- Escape routes
- Practical session looking at one of your vehicles
- Tackling the fire – types and uses of extinguishers
- Practical session in the use of extinguishers.
How long does the course last?
Approximately three hours.
How much does it cost?
£500 per course (minimum six, maximum 10 participants).
Where is it held?
The course can be held at our Training Centre or at your company premises, if suitable. If your premises are outside the Greater Manchester area there will be an additional charge to cover travelling and subsistence for the trainers.
