Fire Focus recognise that every business has different needs so we offer a bespoke training service to design and deliver courses that are catered to the individual requirements of your organisation.

How have companies used our bespoke training?

Fire marshal training

  • We helped a newspaper company who were moving premises and wanted to train their fire marshals in preparation. Based on our one day fire marshal course, we devised bespoke training using the company’s own evacuation procedure. Fire marshals were given a tour of the new building and emergency assembly point, as well as advice on using the call points and refuge points. Any future fire marshals at the company will be sent on our fire marshal course and be given inhouse training on the company procedures. 
  • A large industrial company regularly sends staff on our fire marshal course but wanted some bespoke training that could be used as a refresher and was specific to their staff. A course was prepared using the business’s own procedures and a series of training sessions were run at their premises.  

 Evacuation training

  • A local authority lifelong learning centre was concerned about training staff in evacuation procedures as they have many visitors to their various premises.  A course was designed and delivered with particular reference to evacuating people with disabilities. 

Fire marshall training for security staff

  • A large shopping centre wanted training for their security staff.  A bespoke course was designed which included hands-on extinguisher training for all students, as well as teaching information on their own procedures and further training on stair safety.  This course is now run regularly for the shopping centre staff.

Potential dangers in the workplace

  • A company felt that their staff were not taking their day-to-day housekeeping and safety responsibilities seriously and wanted some training to alert them to the potential dangers that could happen at their business premises. A course was designed which featured some shocking footage to educate them about how important safety procedures are.
