Equality and diversity
A significant amount of work is being done to make sure that the service we provide is equitable and is delivered based on risk and need and a number of successful links have been made with community leaders to improve our understanding of the diverse cultures that exist withing our communities.
However, there is still more to do particularly in attracting a more diverse range of applicants for employment in the Fire and Rescue Service. This is a key area of focus for us as we hope to ensure that the service reflects the communities it serves and continues to respond in a way that is understood and fair to all.
