Directions by car
From the North
Leave the M6 at Junction 30, signposted M61 Manchester, continue along the M61 through Junction 4. After approximately 2 miles the motorway divides - follow the A580 signs. Continue along the A580 through four sets of traffic lights. After the fourth set of traffic lights take the next turn on the left and bear right following signs to the A666. At the roundabout turn left onto A666 Bolton Road and continue to the traffic lights staying in the left hand lane. Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters is 100 yards through the lights on the left hand side.
From the South
Leave the M6 at Junction 21A (signposted Manchester/Leeds). Continue along the M62 and then follow the M602 leaving the motorway at the first exit (Junction 2, A576 Eccles/Ashton). Turn left onto Eccles Old Road (A635 Ashton). Follow the road and at the third set of traffic lights turn left onto Lancaster Road (A5185 Swinton). Continue along Lancaster Road and at the ‘T’ junction turn right onto the A580. Take the next turn on the left and bear right following the signs to the A666 . At the roundabout turn left onto the A666 Bolton Road and continue. Fire Service Headquarters is 100 yards through the lights on the left hand side.
From the East
Continue along the M60 and leave at Junction 16. Turn left onto the A666 Bolton Road and Fire Service Headquarters is approximately two miles further along on the right hand side.
From the West
Continue along the M62 and then follow the M602 leaving the motorway at the first exit (Junction 2, A576 Eccles/Ashton). Turn left onto Eccles Old Road (A635 Ashton). Follow the road and at the third set of traffic Iights turn left onto Lancaster Road (A 5185 Swinton). Continue along Lancaster Road and at the’T’ junction turn right onto the A580. Take the next turn on the left and bear riqht following the signs to the A666. At the roundabout turn left onto A666 Bolton Road and continue to the lights. Fire Service Headquarters is 100 yards through the lights on the left hand side.
Car parking at Headquarters
Only limited parking is available at Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters. Visitors are therefore advised to park at the rear of Agecroft Fire Station which is a five minute walk away. On occasions where Agecroft is full, we have an arrangement to use the Henry Boddingtons Hotel car park parking at the end of the car park before the red posts. Both Agecroft Fire Station and Henry Boddingtons Hotel are situated on Bolton Road
